The Phlebotomist Mobile Diagnostics position involves collecting and processing biological specimens across various locations, including hospitals and mobile diagnostic services. The role requires ensuring accurate specimen handling, data entry, and compliance with health regulations while providing excellent customer service. The phlebotomist will also perform analytical testing as assigned and participate in departmental quality assurance and financial responsibilities.

  • Collect and process biological specimens ensuring correct patient and specimen identification.
  • Enter and verify patient demographics and specimen information for processing and billing.
  • Maintain quality by ensuring all work is accurate and complete, following established methods and practices.
  • Participate in departmental financial responsibilities by managing supplies and reducing waste.
  • Communicate courteously with internal and external customers, resolving service issues as needed.
  • Understand and uphold patient rights and privacy regulations (HIPAA).
  • Minimum age requirement of 18.
  • High School diploma or equivalent, depending on state regulations.
  • Completion of a phlebotomy program or relevant phlebotomy experience.
  • Ability to obtain DHS Fingerprinting Certification if required.
  • Valid state driver's license and eligibility for company auto insurance coverage.
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English).
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Additional related education and/or experience.
  • Full-time position with varied work shifts.
