About The Position

Via Linda Behavioral Hospital is a behavioral health provider serving Scottsdale and the greater Phoenix area. We opened in February 2022 and now offer a full continuum of inpatient and outpatient services. Our modern 120-bed facility offers specialized mental health services and substance use treatment for teens, adults, and older adults experiencing issues such as depression, anxiety, personality disorders and co-occurring addictions. Visit Via Linda virtually and much more online at: Via Linda Behavioral Health The Phlebotomist Mental Health Technician (PMHT) works under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse to provide clerical and patient care activities in the treatment and care of patients with psychiatric and substance abuse conditions including the collection and shipping patient specimens in an accurate, efficient and timely manner. The PMHT will be responsible for collecting, preparing, and shipping specimens of collected patient specimen and managing behavioral problems and facilitates education and activity groups as directed. Actively participates as a member of the treatment team and performs other duties as assigned. May serve as a mentor with other Mental Health Technicians, based on experience or tenure. May serve in roles of patient advocate or milieu specialist depending on education, experience, and/or tenure. PRN/Per Diem Weekend Shifts

Requirements

  • Minimum Education: Graduation from a Phlebotomy program.
  • Minimum Experience: 1 year of Phlebotomy.
  • Required Certification/ License: Current Basic Life Support/CPR certification.
  • Must have or be able to obtain a Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred Education: Associates degree in a behavioral health related field (Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, Behavioral Sciences, etc.)
  • Preferred Experience: 1-year experience in a behavioral health inpatient setting.
  • Preferred Certification/ License: Certified Phlebotomist, Medical Assistant and/or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).
