About The Position
Phlebotomists are responsible for efficiently and accurately performing blood draws and assisting with other minor laboratory tests on patients. This position involves preparing patient rooms for blood draws, gathering medical testing materials, and assisting in performing minor lab tests such as pregnancy and MONO tests when needed. Phlebotomists must use standard protocols to properly identify patient information before labeling samples and updating patient information in the database. They are also expected to address STAT and timed laboratory requests in a timely and courteous manner, participate in teaching and training new phlebotomists, and perform all other assigned duties related to the medical lab.
