About The Position

The Phlebotomist 3 collects and processes quality specimens in a safe manner as outlined in BSWH policies and procedures. Aids in the delivery of exceptional patient care. Assists with training and auditing of behaviors and performance, as assigned. Provides leadership and knowledge to others.

Requirements

H.S. Diploma/GED Equivalent
2 Years of Experience
Donor Phlebotomy Tech-ASCP (DPT), Phlebotomy Technician (PBT): Must have a Phlebotomy Tech Cert from one of these agencies: ASCP, NPA, ASPT, NCCT, NHA, AMT, NAHP, AMCA, AAH or ACA.
OR
Donor Phlebotomy Tech certification from the ASCP.
Knowledge and ability to perform laboratory protocols and procedures in accordance with regulations.
Analytical and critical thinking abilities.
Ability to comprehend and communicate instructions.
Ability to multitask.
Skill in the use of computers and related software applications.
Knowledge of safety and infection control standards.
Ability to work collaboratively with others by fostering a team environment.
