About The Position

Purcell Municipal Hospital is in need of a PRN Phlebotomist/Lab Assistant to work in the Laboratory Department. May require some holidays. Under the general supervision of the Laboratory Manager, the phlebotomist must demonstrate competence in phlebotomy skills, understand and perform specimen collection procedures for all age groups, efficiently perform basic clerical and customer service duties with initiative, kindness, and professionalism, and have full range of body motion including handling and assisting patients, manual and finger dexterity, eye/hand coordination, and hearing acuity.

Requirements

• Minimum High School/GED
• Related experience inclusive of on the job or classroom training in phlebotomy
• Basic office skills, including PC, keyboarding, and office equipment
• Medical Terminology
• Phlebotomy certification
• Minimum of 6 months phlebotomy work experience

Responsibilities
