About The Position

The position is for a Phlebotomist at Elmhurst Hospital, located at 155 E Brush Hill Road, Elmhurst, IL. This is a part-time role (0.5 FTE) requiring about 20 hours per week, with working hours from 1:30 PM to 10 PM, Monday through Friday, including every other Saturday, Sunday, and holiday rotations. The role involves preparing, collecting, logging, and labeling specimens for testing under general supervision, as well as performing pre-analytical processing and registering patient information in the computer system.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED or higher.
• Completion of a phlebotomy training program including a minimum of 100 clinical training hours.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, collect, log, and label specimens for testing.
• Perform pre-analytical processing/ordering of specimens arriving in the lab.
• Register patient information and orders laboratory tests in the computer system.
• Arrange specimens for further processing by Laboratory staff.
