About The Position

The Phlebotomist position at Elmhurst Hospital involves preparing, collecting, logging, and labeling specimens for testing under general supervision. The role requires performing pre-analytical processing and ordering of specimens arriving in the lab, registering patient information, and arranging specimens for further processing by laboratory staff. This is a full-time position with a schedule of 1:30 PM to 10 PM, Monday through Friday, including every other weekend and holiday rotations.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED or higher.
• Completion of a phlebotomy training program including a minimum of 100 clinical training hours.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, collect, log, and label specimens for testing.
• Perform pre-analytical processing and ordering of specimens arriving in the lab.
• Register patient information and orders laboratory tests in the computer system.
• Arrange specimens for further processing by laboratory staff.
