About The Position

The Phlebotomist II position in Atlanta, GA, is a full-time role requiring availability Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. The pay range starts at $21.17 per hour, with salary offers based on various factors including skills, training, experience, education, and certifications. Successful candidates may also be eligible for annual performance bonuses. Requirements

  • Three years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
  • Keyboard/data entry experience.
  • Flexibility to work based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime.
  • Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and clean driving record.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Medical training as a medical assistant or paramedic preferred.
  • Phlebotomy certification preferred, required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English.

  • Experience with pediatric and geriatric collections.
  • Phlebotomy certification.

Responsibilities

  • Collect specimens according to established procedures, including drug screens and biometric screenings.
  • Administer oral solutions as per training.
  • Research test/client information and confirm orders using lab technology systems.
  • Accurately enter data and billing information, and collect payments when required.
  • Process specimens including labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, and preparing for transport.
  • Perform non-patient facing duties such as inventory management, sanitizing, and filing.
  • Comply with departmental policies and assist with data compilation and submission.
  • Maintain phlebotomy logs and complete training courses in a timely manner.
