About The Position

Aspirus Wausau Hospital in Wausau, WI is seeking a PHLEBOTOMIST II to join our team! The Phlebotomist II works under limited supervision and according to established policies and procedures to perform the manual and technical tasks involved with the proper collection, labeling, and distribution of biological specimens for laboratory testing from patients of all ages. This person is also responsible for utilizing relevant computer programs, performing data entry, and canceling and crediting tests.

Requirements

• Completion of a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Successful completion of a phlebotomy training course or equivalent experience.
• Phlebotomy experience or related healthcare experience.
• Certification as a Phlebotomist by a national accrediting agency (e.g., ASCP, NCA).
• Current BLS certification may need to be obtained.

Nice To Haves

• Courses in EKG basic interpretation.
• Customer service/telephone communications experience.
• Computer experience.
