About The Position

BJC HealthCare System is now hiring a Full-Time Lab Associate II - Phlebotomy located at BJC Medical Group at Wentzville - BJCMG (1520 Wentzville Parkway, Wentzville, MO 63385) $1000 sign-on to eligible candidates!!! Position Details: Day Shift Hours: Monday-Friday (8:45am - 5:15pm) Experienced phlebotomist position NO Weekends or holidays!!! Patient facing position Performing venipunctures and urine collections Utilizing multiple Laboratory Information Systems Ensuring high-quality patient care and customer service Role Purpose Perform specimen collection, specimen handling and clerical duties. Experienced in phlebotomy and proficient in performing additional tasks such as central processing duties, in-office phlebotomy, or inventory management. Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED (required)
• 2 years or more of relevant experience
• Minimum of 2 years of professional phlebotomy experience
• Must be able to perform venipunctures and work independently

Responsibilities

• Interpret physician orders and order tests in appropriate system.
• Perform phlebotomy, positive patient identification, and positive patient interaction, proper collection and specimen integrity. May work in outpatient lab, in physician office, or off campus patient service center.
• Sort and process specimens received by the laboratory and proficiently handle all specimens received in the lab.
• Coordinates a simultaneous series of tasks accurately, including STAT orders and fluctuation in workload, prioritizing work to complete within scheduled hours and established turnaround times.
• May perform registration, inventory maintenance, and other duties as assigned.
