Requirements

  • Phlebotomy certification preferred, required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
  • One year of phlebotomy experience preferred.
  • Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred.
  • Keyboard/data entry experience required.
  • Effective communication skills in English.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a medical assistant or paramedic role.
  • Prior experience in customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Collect specimens according to established procedures, including drug screens and biometric screenings.
  • Administer oral solutions as per training.
  • Research test/client information and verify orders using lab technology systems.
  • Accurately enter data and navigate computer systems.
  • Obtain identification and enter billing information, collecting payments when necessary.
  • Process specimens, including labeling, centrifuging, and preparing for transport.
  • Perform non-patient facing duties such as inventory management and sanitizing.
  • Comply with departmental policies and procedures.
  • Assist with compiling and submitting statistics and data as required.
  • Maintain phlebotomy logs in a timely manner and complete training courses.
