About The Position

The position involves performing phlebotomy functions and non-technical duties in various areas including the hospital laboratory, outpatient services, and off-site services. The individual will be responsible for the safe and accurate collection and disposition of blood samples, as well as performing associated laboratory duties. Interaction with patients, physicians, and hospital staff members is essential, requiring a professional demeanor. Additionally, the role includes serving as a receptionist for patients and hospital staff conducting business with the laboratory, and performing clerical duties as needed to create, maintain, and communicate patient data to healthcare providers.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• License/Registration issued by Florida or Compact State is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• Previous hospital experience preferred.
