About The Position

Collects laboratory specimens from patients; performs routine laboratory tests; and performs various clerical duties.

Requirements

  • High school education; or general education degree (GED). Completion of a phlebotomy program from a technical school is preferred.
  • Requires minimum of one year of Phlebotomy experience in a medical lab work environment.
  • Prefer a Registered Phlebotomy Technician with the American Society of Clinical Pathologist.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within ninety (90) days of hire and maintained throughout employment.
  • Employee must not and will not be under sanction by the United States Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Inspector General (OIG) or by the General Services Administration (GSA) or listed on the OIG’s Cumulative Sanction Report, or the GSA’s List of Excluded Providers, or listed on the OIG’s List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE).
  • Must meet and maintain pre-employment and periodic background investigation and adjudication for child care.

Nice To Haves

  • Completion of a phlebotomy program from a technical school is preferred.
  • Prefer a Registered Phlebotomy Technician with the American Society of Clinical Pathologist.
