Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• BLS Certification
• 1 year of phlebotomy experience preferred
• Blood sampling skills
• Venipuncture skills

Responsibilities

• Performs venipuncture, heel sticks, and finger sticks to obtain blood samples for testing purposes.
• Properly identifies patients and follows procedures for collection of specimens.
• Processes and receives specimens into the laboratory, following laboratory protocol for specimen acceptability and rejection.
• Assists with clerical duties and processing as needed.
• Performs other related functions as assigned.
