About The Position

The company is seeking a Float Phlebotomist to join its team in Arizona, with coverage areas including Tucson, Sierra Vista, and Casa Grande. This role offers a unique opportunity to quickly gain extensive experience by working with a diverse range of patients, team members, and various clinic/patient service center locations. It is designed to foster skill development and provide continuous growth opportunities within the organization. The position offers variety and includes eligibility for the Phlebotomy Incentive Plan, which provides a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics, an additional $1.00/hr float differential, and mileage reimbursement.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
  • Ability to work in fast paced / high volume work environments
  • Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
  • Be at least 21 years of age
  • Valid Driver's License and clean driving record
  • Reliable transportation
  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed
  • Exceptional customer service
  • Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment
  • Comfortable working under minimal supervision
  • In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency

Nice To Haves

  • Phlebotomy certification or completed training program
  • 2 years or more experience as a phlebotomist
  • Bilingual in English / Spanish

Responsibilities

  • Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
  • Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
  • Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
  • Process billing information and collect payments when required
  • Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
  • Maintain patient and specimen information logs
  • Provide superior customer service to all patients
  • Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
  • Travel to additional sites when needed
