About The Position

The company is seeking a Float Phlebotomist to join its team for coverage at Medical Offices in and around surrounding areas of Aurora, CO. This role offers the opportunity to quickly gain a vast amount of experience by working with a variety of patients, team members, and clinics/patient service center locations. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Coverage for Denver Metro, Aurora, Englewood, Wheatridge, Lakewood, Littleton, and surrounding areas
  • Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
  • Ability to work in fast paced / high volume work environments
  • Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
  • Be at least 21 years of age
  • Valid Driver's License and clean driving record
  • Reliable transportation
  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed
  • Exceptional customer service
  • Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment
  • Comfortable working under minimal supervision

Nice To Haves

  • Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 9 months or more experience as a phlebotomist
  • 9 months or more experience with pediatric through geriatric patients

Responsibilities

  • Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
  • Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
  • Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
  • Process billing information and collect payments when required
  • Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
  • Maintain patient and specimen information logs
  • Provide superior customer service to all patients
  • Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
  • Travel to additional sites when needed
