About The Position

About Us: Each of CenExel’s research sites specialize in Phase I to Phase IV clinical trials. Our Centers of Excellence comprise some of the most well respected and long-standing research facilities in the country. Specialty areas of research across our sites include Psychiatry, Acute Post Op Pain, Asian Bridging, Dermatology, GI, and Neurology. Each of our Centers of Excellence has tremendous experience and expertise in complex early phase trials, and all our sites have in-patient capability. We focus on quality people, teamwork, and highly experienced clinical research managers with a history of success. Schedule : Monday - Friday (AM Office Hours) Compensation : $20.00 - 21.00/hr ( depending on education, experience, and skillset) Job Summary: A Research Tech will obtain and prepare specimens for analysis and perform various screening tests.

Requirements

Must be able to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
Minimum: High School graduate or have a GED equivalency.
Phlebotomist certification preferred.
Vital checks and EKG experience
Motivated to work consistently in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment.
Reporting to work, as scheduled, is essential.
This is an on-site work arrangement.

Responsibilities

Have full knowledge of laboratory procedures and processes per protocol.
Collects blood by drawing from patients for clinical protocols, procedures, or diagnoses. May also collect other specimens, such as urine, sputum, or throat swabs.
Prepares samples for testing and storage, and labels them for analysis.
Verifies the patient's records, enters data into the system, and prepares specimens for laboratory analysis.
Prepares, maintains, and disposes of medical instruments, such as needles, test tubes, blood vials, and study supplies for visits. Also responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitary work environment.
Explains procedures to patients to help them feel more comfortable and help patients remain calm.
May conduct intake interviews, take vital signs, and perform clerical work.
Assist in the creation of laboratory documents (harvest logs, etc.)
Pack and properly label all study materials for storage or return to sponsor upon study close out.
Complies with regulation and protocols, attends meetings, trainings, and works cooperatively with research team and co-workers.
Supports and ensures strictest adherence to best practices, FDA Code of Federal Regulations, ICH (International Conference on Harmonization), GCP (Good Clinical Practices), CenExel standard operation procedures, site working Practices, protocol and company guidelines and policies.
Assumes other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
