About The Position

The Clinical Research Technician II will work with Clinic teams to execute clinical trial activities in compliance with study protocol, Good Clinical Practices (GCP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)s. This role is crucial in ensuring the confidentiality of clinical trial participants and sponsors is respected, and involves understanding protocol driven timed study events and acceptable collection windows for these events. The technician will report procedural deviations to appropriate supervisory team members and will be responsible for the preparation and proper clean-up of applicable workstations. Maintaining a high level of customer service, quality, and safety within the department is essential. The role may include sample handling, safety measurements, in-house testing, and questionnaire administration. The technician will conduct all clinical trial activities and participant interactions with a high standard of customer service, report significant participant misbehavior to management, provide feedback on study progress, and proactively communicate issues to supervisors. Additionally, acting as a mentor and coach for newly hired staff and completing required training are key responsibilities.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED and related job experience required; college degree preferred.
  • Good communication skills in French and English for Montreal location.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the confidentiality of clinical trial participants and sponsors is respected.

  • Report significant participant misbehavior to Study/Clinical Operations management teams.
  • Provide feedback to appropriate team members of study progress.
  • Proactively communicate issues and/or problem resolutions to departmental supervisors and managers.
  • Act as a mentor and coach for newly hired staff.
  • Complete and/or maintain training as required per job needs.
