About The Position

The Phlebotomist works under the direct supervision of the Chief Medical Technologist, taking direction from the Lab Office Supervisor for specimen collection and delivery of reports. The position requires fine motor coordination, clear speech, normal hearing, and good visual acuity with the ability to distinguish major colors. The Phlebotomist must be able to move readily from one location to another in the hospital and various drawing sites.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Training in a formal phlebotomy program including a minimum of sixty hours of didactic training and sixty hours of clinical experience.
• Previous job experience as a phlebotomist.
• Current California Phlebotomy License or must be eligible for certification.
• Current American Heart Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
• Current CA Driver's License.
• Current driving record printout from the Department of Motor Vehicles.
• Automobile Insurance Card.
• Automobile Insurance Policy liability form reflecting limits.
