About The Position
The Phlebotomist 2 draws and collects blood samples from patients, verifies records and prepares specimens for laboratory analysis. Performs all pre-analytical functions. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Develops a complete understanding of specimen collection and handling in order to preserve specimen validity and integrity. Must have excellent customer service skills and frequently works independently outside the main lab. May direct or lead the work of others.
