About The Position

The Phlebotomist 1 position at Carter BloodCare is essential for ensuring the procurement of safe and quality blood products. This role involves assisting in donor flow, determining donor acceptability, performing sterile venipuncture, collecting blood products, and providing excellent customer service while ensuring compliance with regulations and standard operating procedures throughout the donation process.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 6 months to 1 year of general work experience or education in the medical field with comparable experience such as an internship or externship.
• Customer service experience is required.
• Previous blood banking or medical field experience is a plus.
• Prefer background in a highly regulated industry.
• Bilingual skills and CDL driver license are a plus.
• Computer knowledge is necessary.
• Excellent customer service skills are required.
• Good verbal and written communication skills are essential.
• Self-motivated and positive attitude with the ability to work well in a team atmosphere.
• Detail-oriented regarding document review, able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.

Nice To Haves

• Some college education is a plus.
• Intern and/or externship experience in the medical field.
