About The Position

The PHL Outreach Manager will lead SELF's outreach program aimed at improving the quality of life and well-being of unsheltered individuals at the Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) campus. This role involves collaboration with the Airport's Operations Unit to assist individuals experiencing homelessness and connect them with necessary resources, including shelter and behavioral health services. The position focuses on reducing the presence of unsheltered individuals at PHL, promoting safety for all users, and working with community partners to stabilize housing situations.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a high school diploma or bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • At least three years of experience in homeless services, outreach, or a related field.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record and pass a criminal background check.

  • Strong understanding of issues affecting individuals experiencing homelessness, including housing insecurity, mental health, and substance use disorders.
  • Familiarity with industry best practices and protocols related to homeless services and outreach.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the outreach team's daily operations and coordinate with PHL's Operations Unit to identify and engage with unsheltered individuals.
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with local shelters, behavioral health organizations, and other service providers.
  • Collaborate with the Philadelphia Continuum of Care (CoC) to align program efforts with established guidelines.
  • Lead outreach initiatives to engage and build rapport with unsheltered individuals, assessing their needs and providing interventions.
  • Develop and implement strategies to reduce the presence of unsheltered individuals on the PHL campus and facilitate their transition to stable housing.
  • Track outreach activities and outcomes, maintain accurate records, and prepare regular reports on program progress and client engagement.
  • Use data to assess program effectiveness and make recommendations for enhancements.
