About The Position
Lecturers provide quality learning experiences for students. Lecturers perform instruction-related duties and responsibilities in a timely manner and in accordance with the mission, policies and procedures of the college. Teaches, advises and mentors students, evaluates student performance, and maintains department and student records in accordance with university policies. Adheres to the educational philosophy of the university. Works in a collaborative manner with colleagues and professional peers. Participates in university meetings that relate specifically to faculty. Serves on department, college, and university committees as requested. Lecturer positions are one-year positions, renewable based on annual evaluations and department needs. Evaluations are primarily based on teaching and minimal service. Research is welcome and supported but does not factor into the annual evaluation.
