About The Position

The Philanthropy Manager plays a key role in expanding The WOW Center’s individual giving program by cultivating relationships with donors and prospects and helping move supporters into deeper levels of engagement and philanthropic investment. This role focuses on managing the donor pipeline, coordinating donor engagement opportunities, and supporting the Executive Director in strengthening relationships with individual supporters.

Requirements

  • 3–7 years of fundraising, development, or donor engagement experience
  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills
  • Experience with CRM systems such as Bloomerang
  • Organized and able to manage multiple priorities
  • Passion for the mission of The WOW Center

Responsibilities

  • Donor Portfolio Management
  • Manage and cultivate a portfolio of 75–100 individual donors and prospects.
  • Conduct donor outreach including meetings, tours, calls, and follow-up.
  • Develop individualized cultivation strategies to grow donor relationships.
  • Identify opportunities to upgrade donors to higher levels of giving.
  • Initial Goal of $500,000 individual donor support/year
  • Donor Pipeline & Engagement
  • Track donor engagement through the CRM and maintain an active pipeline.
  • Identify opportunities for recurring giving and donor upgrades.
  • Reconnect with lapsed donors and strengthen relationships with existing supporters.
  • Donor Tours & Community Engagement
  • Coordinate and host donor tours and campus visits.
  • Serve as an ambassador for WOW by sharing the mission and impact with prospective supporters.
  • Work with Executive Director and Board Members to convert tours and visits into long-term donor relationships.
  • Support Major Gifts Strategy
  • Partner with the Executive Director to support cultivation and stewardship of major donors.
  • Prepare donor briefings and background research.
  • Support donor proposals, meeting preparation, and follow-up strategies.
  • Advancement Team Collaboration
  • Work closely with the Director of Advancement & Communications to align donor & volunteer engagement with storytelling and communications.
  • Collaborate with Advancement Team to convert volunteers and families to donors over time
  • Coordinate with advancement coordinators to ensure accurate donor records, reporting, and acknowledgements.
