About the Role: Philantrophy Internship The Philanthropy Intern plays a key role on the Foundation team, assist with important records digitization initiatives while also developing and implementing a signature project. This internship offers valuable experience in nonprofit development operations, database management, and special projects within a healthcare and aging services foundation.

  • Assist with scanning, organizing, and properly filing historical donor records and foundation
  • Enter and update donor information in Raiser's Edge database system
  • Verify data accuracy and maintain consistent filing protocols
  • Help establish and document best practices for digital record management
  • Support the Foundation team with retrieving and organizing archived materials
  • Develop and implement a special project based on organizational needs and intern's interests/skills
  • Potential project areas include: Grateful client referral program support Grant research and application assistance Donor journey mapping and communications Community newsletter content development Event planning and coordination
  • Present project findings and recommendations to Foundation leadership
  • Assist with general office tasks and special projects as needed
  • Support Foundation team members with research and information gathering
  • Help prepare materials for meetings and presentations
  • Contribute to team discussions and brainstorming sessions
  • Current enrollment in or recent completion of undergraduate or graduate studies in nonprofit management, business, communications, healthcare administration, or related field
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and Google Workspace
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Interest in nonprofit development, healthcare, and/or aging services
