Position Overview Join us in the summer of 2026 and help us continue the legacy of fostering creativity, nurturing talent, and celebrating the individual artistic journey at Interlochen. We are seeking passionate and creative Philanthropy Interns who embody our core values and are committed to nurturing young artists. Interns in the Philanthropy office will be immersed in a highly successful, donor-centric stewardship operation that helps to deliver exceptional stewardship and engaging events for our generous donors during the busy summer months while fully immersing yourself in the unique environment that only a summer camp can offer. The Intern will help to plan Philanthropy live and virtual events, as well as oversee the collection and collation of thank you letters from scholarship recipients. Philanthropy front desk duties will be shared by interns as well. Work hours will be approximately 40 hours a week; flexible hours are required given evening and weekend Philanthropy activities, including events

Responsibilities

  • Stewarding over 3000 scholarship and general thank you letters written by students attending the Interlochen Arts Camp by assisting the Associate Director of Stewardship and Events with coordination of thank you letters from recipients.
  • Selecting student quotes from thank you letters, and creating new photo and video content to add to a Stewardship Content Folder.
  • Assisting with live and virtual introductions between scholarship recipients and their donors, accompanied by a Major Gift Officer.
  • Assist the Associate Director of Stewardship and Events with event planning, preparation and coordination.
  • Assisting with administrative data entry, projects, and stewardship efforts as assigned by Philanthropy Staff.
  • Assist with coverage at the Philanthropy front desk as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned
