Position Summary: This position works within the Fundraising department. This department is responsible for Individual Giving that supports the Foodbank for NYC. This is a project-based research heavy role. In order to support these tasks, this position will: Organize and evaluate incoming individual donors (500+), delegating to appropriate fundraisers and ensuring alignment with fundraising priorities. Identify and qualify new prospective donors through initial background qualification and outreach, including calls, emails, and event invitations to assess interest and engagement potential. Conduct in-depth profiles on principal and major gift level current prospects that will allow for enhanced strategy and donor experiences. Represent Food Bank and its programs accurately when speaking with donors, volunteers, and colleagues as needed at team events, volunteer opportunities, and organization-wide events. Contribute to organizational and departmental culture by working with integrity, maintaining a solutions-oriented approach, and adjusting research to best serve Food Bank’s mission and major gift officers. Help secure, maintain and enter information in Raiser’s Edge NXT A commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working environment is required. Additional responsibilities as needed to support departmental and strategic goals.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree complete or in progress- preferred Jr. or Sr.
• Commitment to the mission and values of Food Bank For New York City
• Strong written and verbal communication skill
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to produce under deadlines and work independently and effectively.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• CRM databases (preferably Raiser’s Edge, or Salesforce) is a plus
• Experience with prospect qualification platforms like Inside Philanthropy, DonorSearch, iWave, and LexisNexis (would be preferred)
