About The Position

Join the Sheraton Suites Philadelphia Airport as a Sous-Chef, where you will play a vital role in our kitchen operations. You will be responsible for food preparation, managing kitchen supplies, and ensuring that our high standards of quality and sanitation are met. This position requires creativity in menu development and the ability to lead and mentor junior kitchen staff. You will also take on leadership responsibilities in the absence of the head chef, ensuring smooth kitchen operations and a positive dining experience for our guests.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare dishes, create new menu items, and ensure quality standards.
  • Manage kitchen supplies, order ingredients, and ensure sanitation standards are met.
  • Schedule employees, train new hires, and supervise junior kitchen staff.
  • Assist in menu planning, writing and redesigning menus, and pricing items.
  • Take on leadership responsibilities when the head chef is unavailable.
