About The Position

As an integral member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in leading a team of mechanics as well as performing mechanics duties, on an approximate 60/40 split, acting as the go-to resource for all PHE inspections, supply scope, repair processes, and documentation. This is an unique opportunity for who has great planning, coordination and interpersonal skills and highly enjoys hands-on work. Currently, this is an on-site opportunity located in Greer, SC. The selected candidate will undergo a trial period, which includes a minimum of three months of continuous evaluation, support, and feedback.

Requirements

  • High School or GED equivalent
  • strong written and verbal communication skills
  • a respectful approach to working with others
  • Hands-on PHE service/repair experience
  • Basic Personal Computer skills with demonstrated ability in ALSO, Monday, Microsoft Outlook, and Microsoft Office
  • Demonstrated commitment to Alfa Laval Production System (ALPS), including 5S, Cell Status Boards, PRP and KPI Boards
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills

Responsibilities

  • Review, plan, coordinate and support the daily work of the cell with continuous focus on our priorities
  • Run the daily shift startup meeting
  • Utilize TWI Job Instruction and Job Relations methodology to train and develop the team
  • Serve as liaison between the Service Center Shop and the Support Functions
  • Participate in the creation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and perform SOP audit dialogues to ensure conformance to the standards and facilitate improvements
  • Drive daily Performance Meetings and weekly Improvement Meetings in the cell
  • Participate in projects and initiatives as needed
  • Participate in all aspects of the Problem Resolution Process to help determine root cause of problems and create sustainable solutions
  • Disassemble, inspect, measure and assemble products and subassemblies to bring them up to specification standards.
  • Work from drawings, parts list, blueprints, charts, tables and graphs to evaluate and estimate repair cost, time and materials or parts needed to repair assemblies and subassemblies
  • Must be able to setup, assemble and test equipment
  • Uncrate, clean, strip and tear down units
  • Diagnoses, checks and corrects mechanical functions through adjustments, using various tools and approved repair methods
  • Assist in workflow process, oversee utilization of jobs to ensure time is allocated correctly, assures repairs are completed correctly and on time
