JOB DETAILS: Location: San Jose, CA or Santa Clara, CA Onsite/Hybrid: This role requires the student to work full time (40 hours a week), in either a hybrid or onsite work structure throughout the duration of the co-op/intern term Duration: Summer/Fall Co-op: May 18, 2026 - December 11, 2026 or June 22, 2026 - December 11, 2026 Summer Internship: May 18, 2026 - August 7, 2026 or June 22, 2026 – September 11, 2026 Fall Internship: September 14, 2026 – December 11, 2026 WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING: We are seeking a highly motivatedn Software Development Engineering intern/co-op to join our team and participate in research and development of next-generation product differentiation features with extraordinary ML/AI engineers. In this role – We will involve you in the analysis and prototyping of the capabilities of single- and multi-agent Large Language Model-based frameworks to optimize C++ Hardware models so that they can be efficiently implemented using the Vitis High Level Synthesis tool We will assign you the tasks of identifying existing research tools and frameworks to address this problem We will help you in selecting one to be used during the internship for the specific problem of optimizing various kinds of single and multiple loop nests, with the goal of improving their performance by rewriting the code to expose more parallelism and satisfying the Vitis HLS coding guidelines We will assist you when implementing and evaluating the results of such optimizations applied to a set of benchmark designs WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR: You are currently enrolled in a US based University in a PhD program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
