About The Position

The Patient Care Technician (PCT) plays a vital role in delivering patient care under the supervision of licensed medical staff. This position involves various responsibilities aimed at meeting the needs of patients and their families, while adhering to care plans that consider the patient's age and development stage. Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Less than 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Collect and record patient data and vital signs.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADL).
• Answer call lights and complete patient rounds.
• Help maintain files and forms for admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Assist with patient personal hygiene and cleanup.
• Comply with Baylor Scott and White policies and procedures.
