The Pharmacy Transporter reflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organization’s Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards. The Pharmacy Runner will work under the direction and supervision of a Licensed Pharmacist as a pharmacist’s designee. Pharmacy Runners assist in the movement of medication and supplies throughout the hospital.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 18 years of age or older

Nice To Haves

  • Illinois Pharmacy Technician License (IDFPR)

Responsibilities

  • Transport medications and supplies throughout the hospital (e.g., pharmacy to pharmacy, pharmacy to nursing station, etc.)
  • Transport of controlled substances occurs only when medication is stored in a tamper evident container or seal
  • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of medications and supplies
  • Maintain accurate delivery records and obtain appropriate signatures from recipients
  • Monitor inventory levels and report any shortages or discrepancies to Pharmacist in Charge
  • Communicate effectively with pharmacy and healthcare facility staff to ensure efficient delivery processes
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations when handling medication and supplies
  • Maintain a clean and organized delivery cart
  • Other duties as assigned by Manager
