About The Position

As a Pharmacy Technician at Rite Aid, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Pharmacist and Pharmacy Manager in delivering exceptional service to customers while maintaining the Pharmacy department. Your responsibilities will include processing prescriptions, managing inventory, and ensuring a clean and organized environment, all while contributing to the mission of improving health and wellness in the community.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
• Pharmacy Technician state and/or national certification.

• Experience in phone etiquette.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Pharmacist and Pharmacy Manager in serving customers and maintaining the Pharmacy department.
• Enter prescription information including patient searches, prescriber searches, and drug selection.
• Accept customer and prescription information for new and refill prescriptions.
• Retrieve medication from inventory and create prescription labels.
• Complete paperwork related to filling prescriptions and input customer data into the computer.
• Assist in maintaining the Pharmacy department by keeping it clean and organized.
• Manage inventory processes including order review and restocking shelves.
• Administer Rite Aid programs such as FlavoRx and Living More.
