About The Position

The Pharmacy Technician plays a critical role in supporting pharmacists to ensure the accurate and efficient dispensing of medications in both hospital and retail pharmacy settings. This position involves managing prescription orders, preparing and labeling medications, and maintaining sterile environments to guarantee patient safety. Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) or equivalent credential.
• Experience with order entry and prescription filling in a pharmacy setting.
• Knowledge of sterilization techniques and pharmacy safety protocols.
• Ability to operate fax machines and other office equipment.

Responsibilities

• Accurately enter prescription orders into the pharmacy system and verify patient information.
• Fill and label prescriptions following established protocols and safety standards.
• Operate and maintain fax machines and other communication tools to coordinate with healthcare providers.
• Perform sterilization procedures to maintain a clean and safe pharmacy environment.
• Assist pharmacists in inventory management, including stocking and organizing medications.
• Provide courteous and respectful service to patients and healthcare staff.
• Adhere to all hospital and retail pharmacy regulations and guidelines to ensure sterility and safety.
