The ideal candidate must possess an active Pharmacy Technician license. The pharmacy technician is responsible for supporting the pharmacist in pharmacy operations while providing quality pharmaceutical care to patients and IMH team members.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• State of Illinois Registered Pharmacy Technician license required.
• Currently enrolled in a PharmD program.

Responsibilities

• Answers phones and greets pharmacy visitors.
• Enters prescription through GuardianRx.
• Checkouts customer purchases through Cashier Live.
• Prepares IV admixtures.
• Transports and restocks floor stock.
• Restocks Omnicell medication cabinets.
• Verifies and unpacks daily and weekly wholesaler deliveries.
• Reviews and corrects daily pharmacy charges.
• Enters Resident Home (RH) patient orders through GuardianRx.
• Prepares RH orders in blister packaging.
• Packages bulk medication into unit doses.
