About The Position

Iberia Comprehensive Community Health Center (ICCHC) and its satellite health centers are the leading providers of primary health care services in the communities we serve, including individuals who are both insured and uninsured. ICCHC provides multi-disciplinary, comprehensive health care services, including pharmacy services. Our pharmacy department provides medication, healthcare equipment, vaccinations, medical supplies, and other medical services to patients in our service areas.

ICCHC is currently seeking a full time Pharmacy Technician for its Leesville, Louisiana location.

The Pharmacy Technician operates under the direct supervision of the Pharmacy Director and is responsible for performing the administrative and service-based duties that keep our customers satisfied. The ideal candidate for this position is detail-oriented, able to multitask, and enjoys working with customers.

Requirements

• high school diploma or its equivalent
• successfully completed a board-approved structured program for pharmacy technician education and training
• demonstrate evidence of at least 600 hours of practical experience under the supervision of a pharmacist preceptor
• successfully completed and passed a board-approved technician examination
• acquire the minimum yearly requirements of continuing education hours
• active pharmacy technician license and be in good standing with the board of pharmacy
• ability to ensure the efficient operation of the Pharmacy Department
• knowledge of the various aspects of pharmacy operations
• good computer and mathematical skills
• demonstrate good ethical judgment in investigating and resolving problems

Responsibilities

• processing and filling prescription orders under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist
• providing assistance to the pharmacist in the performance and delivery of professional services
• monitoring patient profiles, records, invoices, and inventory levels to ensure that the pharmacy is running at optimal efficiency
