Find out how you can Make It Possible: In this role, under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist, you will have an exciting opportunity to assist with preparing outpatient prescriptions, batching sterile and/or non-sterile preparations, managing inventory, maintaining patient profiles, processing prescription claims, and interacting with patients. You will also collect medication history and allergy information from patients and accurately document in the electronic medical record when applicable. Additional duties include maintaining all quality assurance data and procedures associated with the non-sterile and sterile preparation area and product prepared. This is a full-time day/evening shift position 11:00am-7:00pm including rotating weekends/holidays located at NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • New York State Pharmacy Technician License.
  • Certified pharmacy Technician (CPhT) with the Pharmacy Technician Board (PTCB) or National Healthcareer Association (NHA).
  • Basic computer literacy.

Nice To Haves

  • One year of experience in hospital or community pharmacy practice setting.
