Pharmacy Technicians are responsible for meeting medication needs, adhering to regulatory standards, demonstrating ethical conduct, and maintaining patient confidentiality. Success in this role involves managing pharmacy workstations and tasks to promptly, safely, and accurately fill prescriptions while providing excellent customer service. New Pharmacy Technicians must complete an extensive CVS Pharmacy Technician Training Program and fulfill all state-specific registration, licensing, and certification requirements. Initial duties will be restricted until these requirements are met, after which there are opportunities to expand clinical, technical, and insurance knowledge. This position may require full COVID-19 vaccination, including boosters, unless a reasonable accommodation is approved.

Requirements

Must be at least 16 years of age
Licensure requirements vary by state

Mathematical Reasoning: The ability to use math to solve a problem, such as calculating day’s supply of a prescription
Problem Resolution: Is able to judge when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong; recognizing there is a problem; Choosing the best course of action when faced with a complex situation with several available options
May require full vaccination against COVID-19 (including any booster shots if required), where allowable under the law, unless approved for a reasonable accommodation based on disability, medical condition, pregnancy, or religious belief that prevents them from being vaccinated

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician
PTCB National Certification
