Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Licensure in the State of Michigan as a Pharmacy Technician or eligibility for the Pharmacy Technician Program.
- Strong ability to maintain patient confidentiality.
- Compliance with all applicable company policies, procedures, and patient care protocols.
- Adherence to current government regulations and professional standards for patient care.
- Consistently completes annual online education requirements by the expected deadline.
- Commitment to ethical practices by following the company's code of conduct and applicable laws and regulations.
- Demonstrated honesty, integrity, and behaviors aligned with company standards for compliance and business matters.
- Practical verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Proficiency in basic computer programs and related technology, with knowledge of pharmacy software preferred.
- Strong mathematical skills.
- Familiarity with medical terminology.
- Ability to focus on details and thoroughly complete work tasks.
- Ability to operate general office equipment, including telephones and copiers.
- Team-oriented mindset with openness to others' views, willingness to give and receive feedback, and a focus on building a positive work environment.
Responsibilities
- Selecting and packaging medications accurately and carefully
- Filling unit dose (UD) cards
- Ensuring prescriptions are correctly counted and labeled
- Precisely handling compliance packaging and bulk item labeling
- Verifying NDCs, expiration dates, and patient bags
- Assisting the dailies department when needed
- Maintaining a clean workspace and following protocols
