Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Licensure in the State of Michigan as a Pharmacy Technician or eligibility for the Pharmacy Technician Program.
  • Strong ability to maintain patient confidentiality.
  • Compliance with all applicable company policies, procedures, and patient care protocols.
  • Adherence to current government regulations and professional standards for patient care.
  • Consistently completes annual online education requirements by the expected deadline.
  • Commitment to ethical practices by following the company's code of conduct and applicable laws and regulations.
  • Demonstrated honesty, integrity, and behaviors aligned with company standards for compliance and business matters.
  • Practical verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Proficiency in basic computer programs and related technology, with knowledge of pharmacy software preferred.
  • Strong mathematical skills.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology.
  • Ability to focus on details and thoroughly complete work tasks.
  • Ability to operate general office equipment, including telephones and copiers.
  • Team-oriented mindset with openness to others' views, willingness to give and receive feedback, and a focus on building a positive work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Selecting and packaging medications accurately and carefully
  • Filling unit dose (UD) cards
  • Ensuring prescriptions are correctly counted and labeled
  • Precisely handling compliance packaging and bulk item labeling
  • Verifying NDCs, expiration dates, and patient bags
  • Assisting the dailies department when needed
  • Maintaining a clean workspace and following protocols
