Pharmacy Technicians ensure medication needs and regulatory compliance are met, demonstrating ethical conduct and patient confidentiality. Success in this role involves managing pharmacy workstations and tasks to promptly, safely, and accurately fill prescriptions, providing caring service that exceeds customer expectations. New Pharmacy Technicians are required to complete an extensive CVS Pharmacy Technician Training Program and satisfy all state-specific registration, licensing, and certification requirements. Duties will initially be restricted until all requirements are met, after which there are opportunities to build clinical, technical, and insurance knowledge and expertise. This position may require full COVID-19 vaccination, including boosters, depending on the role and location, unless a reasonable accommodation is approved.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 16 years of age
  • Licensure requirements vary by state

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
  • Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician
  • PTCB National Certification
