Pharmacy Technicians are crucial in delivering compassionate care to millions of patients daily, advising on prescriptions and managing chronic/specialty conditions. This role offers an opportunity to work in a leading retail pharmacy, upholding high professional and ethical standards, and ensuring compliance with all laws and regulations. Pharmacy Technicians ensure medication needs and regulatory compliance are met, maintaining patient confidentiality. Success involves managing assigned pharmacy workstations and tasks to promptly, safely, and accurately fill prescriptions while providing excellent customer service. New Pharmacy Technicians must complete an extensive CVS Pharmacy Technician Training Program and satisfy all state-specific registration, licensing, and certification requirements. Duties will be restricted until all requirements are met, after which there are opportunities to build clinical, technical, and insurance knowledge.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 16 years of age
  • Licensure requirements vary by state
  • The ability to concentrate on a task over a period of time without being distracted (Attention and Focus)

  • Choosing the best course of action when faced with a complex situation with several available options (Problem Resolution)
  • Complete an extensive CVS Pharmacy Technician Training Program
  • Satisfy all registration, licensing and certification requirements according to your State’s Board of Pharmacy guidelines
  • Be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (including any booster shots if required), where allowable under the law, unless approved for a reasonable accommodation based on disability, medical condition, pregnancy, or religious belief that prevents them from being vaccinated

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
  • Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician
  • PTCB National Certification

Responsibilities

  • Manage all assigned pharmacy workstations and tasks
