About The Position

The Pharmacy Technician is responsible for assisting in the routine daily operations of the Pharmacy Department under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. The Pharmacy Technician should have the ability to complete multiple tasks, work within deadlines, provide great communication, and have excellent clerical skills.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent (minimum) required.
• Must have an active Drivers License
• Must secure a Valid National Pharmacy Technician Certification from a nationally accredited pharmacy technician certification program.
• Must attempt examantaion within 6 months of effective hire date
• Must secure certification within 1 2 months of effective hire date and register with the NY Department of Education as a Registered Pharmacy Technician

Nice To Haves

• Previous h ospital /p harmacy experience preferred.
• Basic typing and or c omputer skills, preferred.
• Basic math skills
