Pharmacy Technician - Outpatient

The Harborview Medical Center Pharmacy Department is looking for an outstanding Pharmacy Technician to join our Outpatient Pharmacy Team! Requirements
- Six months of experience as a Pharmacy Assistant OR equivalent education/experience
- State of Washington Pharmacy Technician certification
- UW Medicine is committed to being a drug-free workplace. We require a pre-employment drug screen.
Nice To Haves
- Strong candidates will have experience working in an outpatient pharmacy setting.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with intake of new and refill prescriptions.
- Order entry of medication orders, which would include controlled substances, into the ambulatory pharmacy computer system, for pharmacist verification.
- Fill patient prescriptions and perform financial functions supporting the prescription-filling process.
- Dispense prescriptions to patients, appropriately referring those who require counseling to a pharmacist for dispensing.

- Night Shift Premium - $2.75/hour
- Evening Shift Premium - $2.00/hour
- Weekend Shift Premium - $2.50/hour
