The Pharmacy Department at Hartford Hospital utilizes a decentralized model with pharmacists embedded on medical teams to advice on optimal drug therapy. Under the supervision and direction of the Pharmacist, our Pharmacy Technicians assists in performing pharmaceutical functions which include unit dose dispensing, compound preparation, and other related procedures that require knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology. There is opportunity to specialize in sterile compounding, control substance handling, or obtaining medication histories in our Emergency Department. We take great care of careers.
