About The Position
Adelphi is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to provide services at a correctional facility in Tallahassee, Florida. The ideal candidate will support pharmacy operations at the facility, assisting in filling and preparing prescriptions, inventorying medications, and dispensing medication to inmates, while ensuring compliance with legal, ethical, and institutional standards.
Requirements
- State certification as a Pharmacy Technician in Florida
- CPR certification.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician
Responsibilities
- Interpret and process prescription orders.
- Maintain and inventory medications and supplies.
- Interact with inmates, providing education on medications.
- Ensure compliance with storage and sanitation standards.
- Assist with the daily dispensing of medications.
- Perform duties within the scope of the current licensure.
