About The Position

Pharmacy Technician – Full-Time – Cortez Integrated Healthcare, Cortez, CO Role will primarily supports our Cortez Integrated Healthcare and Dove Creek Integrated Healthcare locations with occasional trips to Durango Integrated Healthcare and Pagosa Springs Integrated Healthcare. Position Summary: The Pharmacy Technician is responsible for medication orders, inventory management, and dispensing medication in conjunction with the policies, procedures, and clinical supervision of the Consulting Pharmacist. The Pharmacy Technician must demonstrate the ability to work interdepartmentally with clinicians, third-party pharmacies, and patients. This role will require up to 45% travel.

Requirements

  • high school degree or equivalent
  • Proof of current TB test WILL BE REQUIRED in order to attend New Employee Orientation
  • active BLS certification at time of hire
  • Ability to actively listen
  • Effective communication skills and phone etiquette.
  • Skilled in using computer and other electronic office devices

  • Math skill level appropriate to fill prescriptions accurately, including counting, measuring and weighing medications

  • Problem solving skills and ability to solve pharmaceutical calculations.

  • de-escalation training within 90 days of hire

Nice To Haves

  • One (1) Year(s) Pharmacy Experience or Experience in a Clinic or Hospital
  • CPhT, ExCPT or Certification to provide immunizations
