New Pharmacy Technicians are required to complete an extensive training program and satisfy state-specific registration, licensing, and certification requirements. Upon completion, there are opportunities to expand clinical, technical, and insurance knowledge to further a pharmacy career. The position is ideal for individuals who thrive in fast-paced environments and demonstrate genuine care for patients and customers.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 16 years of age
  • Licensure requirements vary by state
  • The ability to concentrate on a task over a period of time without being distracted (Attention and Focus)

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
  • Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician
  • PTCB National Certification
  • High School diploma or equivalent

  • Deliver compassionate care to millions of patients every day
  • Manage all assigned pharmacy workstations and tasks
  • Promptly, safely and accurately fill patient prescriptions
  • Provide caring service that exceeds customer expectations
  • Ensure all medication needs and regulatory compliance standards are met for patients
  • Demonstrate ethical conduct and maintain patient confidentiality at all times
  • Complete an extensive CVS Pharmacy Technician Training Program
  • Satisfy all registration, licensing and certification requirements according to your State’s Board of Pharmacy guidelines
  • Build clinical, technical and insurance knowledge and expertise by leveraging available tools and training
