Pharmacy Technician
About The Position
The Pharmacy Technician is responsible for assisting in the routine daily operations of the Pharmacy Department under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. The Pharmacy Technician should have the ability to complete multiple tasks, work within deadlines, provide great communication, and have excellent clerical skills. Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent (minimum) required.
- Must have an active Drivers License
- Must secure a Valid National Pharmacy Technician Certification from a nationally accredited pharmacy technician certification program.
- Must attempt examantaion within 6 months of effective hire date
- Must secure certification within 12 months of effective hire date and register with the NY Department of Education as a Registered Pharmacy Technician
Nice To Haves
- Previous hospital/pharmacy experience preferred.
- Basic typing and or computer skills, preferred.
- Basic math skills
