Pharmacy Technician
About The Position
We are recruiting a Full-Time hybrid Pharmacy Technician to perform I.V. compounding as well as general unit-dose packaging and prescription fulfillment. This position has regular Monday to Friday hours and works every fourth Saturday-Sunday “on-call” for I.V. compounding at our Long-Term Care Pharmacy in Salisbury, NC. This position is in a professional setting with a caring and friendly work environment. This position requires a high level of responsibility and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. Technician certification is preferred but not required. This pharmacy has a professional and creative work environment with a positive team atmosphere. It offers a competitive salary, $18-25 per hour based on experience and credentials, and a benefits package.
Nice To Haves
- Compounding sterile medications in a clean room is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of USP 797 and 795 standards.
- Previous experience as a pharmacy technician in LTC, a hospital or clinical setting is preferred.
- Technician certification is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Preparing sterile medications using aseptic technique.
- Prepare non-sterile medications as needed.
- Infusion therapy inventory and supply management.
- Maintaining accurate documentation.
- Unit-dose medication preparation in other areas in the pharmacy when needed and other daily pharmacy technician tasks as needed.
