About The Position

Alan B. Miller Medical Center opening in Spring 2026! A neighborhood hospital with medical center excellence! The new state-of-the-art hospital will join UHS’ growing regional network of healthcare operations which includes Wellington Regional Medical Center, the ER at Westlake (an extension of Wellington Regional Medical Center), Wellington Physicians Urgent Care and other healthcare services and access points. The Alan B. Miller Medical Center will feature 150 private patient rooms, a medical office building and a helistop. Upon completion of the initial phase of the project, the hospital campus will include 365,000 square feet of hospital and medical office space. The new Medical Center will offer comprehensive medical services including Emergency Care, Orthopedics and Surgical Services, Labor and Delivery, Neonatal Intensive Care, Oncology, Cardiovascular and Neurosurgical services. In addition, the campus will be home to medical office buildings that will provide outpatient services. Pharmacy Technician PRN Provides shift to shift oversight for clinical practice, staffing, patient flow, safety, service, and utilization of resources for daily operations. Maintains the environment of care. Provides care to patients in a competent, capable, caring, and efficient manner. The care provided is appropriate to the age of the patients. Miller Medical Center | Palm Beach Gardens, FL Pharmacy Technicians, under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, assist in the various activities of the pharmacy department. Pharmacy Technicians assist the pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications, maintaining the drug inventory and maintenance of records. Pharmacy Technicians function in accordance with standard written procedures, guidelines and state and federal regulations. They do not perform duties that can legally be performed only by a registered pharmacist. Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1-3 years hospital experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology required.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Effective communications skills, both verbal and written
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to escalate safety concerns immediately to supervising pharmacists and follow Chain-of-Command.
  • Active Pharmacy Technician License in the State of Florida is required.
  • Current Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certification required.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical School/1 Year College preferred.
  • Technical School/2 Years College / Associate s Degree preferred.
  • Experience stocking, optimizing, and troubleshooting automated dispensing cabinets preferred.
  • Experience compounding IV medications, hazardous medications, and non-sterile medications preferred.
